The Arab Lawyers Federation stressed in its final statement at the conclusion of the extraordinary conference on Monday absolute opposition to any military act against Iraq asserting the necessity for maintaining the unity of the Iraqi People and sovereignty and integrity of land.
The statement calls on the Arab states to boycott the diplomatic, trade and cultural relations with the United States, Britain and Israel and to close all the bases, airports and ports in front of America and its alliances.
The statement calls on the Lawyer unions in the Arab states to activate the Arab Joint Defense Agreement to defend Iraq demanding the international community to move quickly and actively to implement UN resolution to make the Middle East free of the mass destruction weapons.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, the Arab Lawyers affirmed the unlimited support to the Palestinian People Intifada against the Israeli occupation until the restoration of their legitimate right in establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital stressing that resisting occupation is a right guaranteed by all international laws and charters.
The statement also stressed the resolutions and recommendations of the former Permanent Bureau of the Federation regarding supporting and strengthening Anti Normalization Committees in all the Arab states.
