Algeria: Six persons from the government's forces were killed

Algerian dailies issued on Sunday said that extremist Islamists killed 5 pro government persons in two separate meetings.
The Algerian French daily Le Matain said a terrorist group killed by bullets two police members on Saturday evening in the downtown of Zira al-Maizan in Teizi Ozo province, 100 KM to the east of the capital. The paper added that one civilian was gravely wounded in a fire exchange which followed the attack.
Al-Khabar daily said that two armed men suspected to be extremists Islamists slaughtered four members of the municipal guards on Friday in the southern part of the country.
However, the municipal guard is an armed organization newly established to help in chasing the armed groups since the eruption of the acts of violence by the beginning of 1993. The paper said that the killers stopped members of the guards who were riding a car and ambushed them between the two cities of Rafla and al-Jafla, 600 Km from the capital Algiers. The paper said that the gunmen forced the victims to get out of the car before their slaughtering brutally, 20 Km from the site of the ambush.
