Non aligned summit' rejects war against Iraq
Iraq-Regional, Politics, 2/24/2003

Heads of Non- Aligned Movement Summit issued yesterday a statement in Kuala Lumpur stressing their concern over the critical and deteriorating situation in the region due to the American threat of waging a war against Iraq that would destabilize the region and the world as a whole on all levels.

They also stressed their commitment to exert intensive efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the current situation, calling for collective work against the American unilateral action.

They welcomed Iraqi decision of unconditional cooperation with the international inspectors, a fact that proves to the whole world that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

They also stressed that the exerted efforts to disarm Iraq shouldn't be an aim but a step towards lifting the sanctions imposed on it.
