Syrian- Indian industrial cooperation

Syria's Industry Minister, Issam Al-Zaim, reviewed in Damascus on Saturday with an Indian delegation representing Kirloscar group of engineering and mechanical industries, chaired by Ra'oul Kirloscar, the possibility of cooperation in developing tractors manufacturing of small tractors.

Zaim stressed the deeply-rooted Syrian-Indian relations and the importance of the joint cooperation in engineering and mechanical industries field.

Al-Zaim indicated the ministry desire to develop and modernize tractors manufacturing and engineering industries in general and Syria's cooperation with the Indian side in this regard. Visiting the tractors manufactory in Aleppo by the Indian delegation to brief on work in it, offer preparatory proposals which clear out fields of cooperation and to prepare an economic study about cooperation and developing fields agreed upon, he said.

For his part, the Indian side asserted his desire to cooperate with the Syrian side to develop and modernize tractors manufacturing of different sizes to be exported particularly to the Arab markets.
