Butaflika calls on Algerians for success of Chirac's next visit to Algiers

In several interventions, the Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika commended the Algerian armed forces. He called on all Algerians to ensure the success of the forthcoming visit of the French President Jacque Chirac by the beginning of March and the efforts to build strong and solid relations with France.
Butaflika met with citizens and talked to local officials in three provinces in al-Oras area, the headquarters of the Algerian revolution, which is considered an area of greatest hostility for the president's policies after the al-Qabayel area.
President Butaflika made lengthy statements in Batna, Khanshala and Tebsa in which he stressed he is working to get Algeria out of the multi-faceted crisis it suffers.
Butaflika commended the army and stressed that he is the saver of the country and the republican and democratic regime from the danger represented by the brutal terrorist actions.
