One Lebanese sentenced to death in absentia over collaborating with Israel

The Lebanese permanent military committee yesterday sentenced to death in absentia Hassan Awadah who joined the lines of the Israeli army and took part in the operations killing Lebanese resistance men, directly.
The court also issued five imprisonment sentences against collaborators with Israel including one girl for period of 3 years and a one million Lebanese pounds fine over collaborating with the Israeli army.
Meantime, the follow up committee in support of the Lebanese detainees in the Israeli jails called on the ICRC to work for unveiling the fate of the Lebanese missing and prisoners in the Israeli jails.
In a memorandum addressed to the ICRC yesterday, the committee said that the issue of the missing and the detainees is an international humanitarian issue and one of the catastrophic results and political conflicts, calling for intensifying efforts to unmask the fate of these missing and prisoners and dealing the grave social consequences of such actions.
