Russian businessmen evacuate families from Iraq

The community of the Russian businessmen in Iraq has started to evacuate its families to Russia in light of war threats.

In a statement issued by the RAE Novosti News house, a group of Businessmen said that this step aims at "reducing psychological pressures" on those who live in Iraq.

Sources close to the Russian companies active in Iraq said that its representatives took this decision in conclusion of a meeting they held yesterday in Baghdad with the Iraqi authorities.

The Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov said in Moscow that the government's representation and trade offices including the diplomatic bodies will continue practicing its missions in Iraq, but there are plans for full evacuation whenever it is necessary.
