Chinese airlines suspend flights to Iraq
Kuwait-China, Politics, 2/17/2003
The Chinese Airline company China Air has decided to suspend its air flights to Kuwait due to the concerns resulting from the escalation of tension in the Gulf region due to the US war threats against Iraq.
One of the company's employees said that flights tickets sales between Beijing and Kuwait was stopped, adding that there is no fixed date to resume the flights.
He added that the company's air flights which link Beijing, Karachi and Kuwait once a week will be limited until an open time to a flight just between Beijing and Karachi.
However, sources in the Chinese air company said that suspending flights will be provisional and these flights will be resumed when the situation restores normalcy.
