Project to develop; Sewre pyramids plateau to be inaugurated late 2003

Egypt's Culture Minister Farouk Hosni will inaugurate late this year the last stage of the project to develop and secure the Giza Pyramids area.
The project has been carried out by the ministry since three years in the context of the plan to secure archeological sites in Egypt's different governorates and prepare them for absorbing the increasing number of tourists and visitors.
Supreme Council of Antiquities Secretary General Zahi Hawas highlighted that the project's third and final stage includes the securing of Giza Pyramids Plateau through the use of most developed technological and electronic systems.
