Some 45,000 Israeli companies closed in 2002

The Israeli BDA Business has stated that some 45,000 companies were closed in 2002. A figure which is considered as an increase by 33% in comparison with the number of companies closed in 2001.
The Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot quoted sources in the company as saying that available data indicate a state of deterioration in the Israeli economy.
