Al-Jabbouri: Ode ' assistant disappeared in Lebanon

The leader of the opposition Iraqi al-Watan party, Mashaan al-Jabbouri, which takes Damascus as a headquarters said yesterday that one assistant for Ode Saddam Hussein, the official responsible for most of sport activities in Iraq and son of the Iraqi president, had disappeared in Beirut since four days when he was staying with a delegation of the Iraqi Olympic committee in one of the hotels in Beirut.

Al-Jabbouri specified the identity of Ode's assistant as Idib Shabaan, who had arrived in Beirut on Saturday coming from Saudi Arabia after he had attended an Arab sport championship which was held recently in Jeddah.

Al-Jabbouri said that Shabaan was in a mission to buying jewelry from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. He added "our information say that Shabaan was negotiating with a Bahraini lady to buy a piece of diamond through a Saudi mediator of Iraqi origin and the sum was transferred for him to buy this Jewelry and he then moved to Beirut for that purpose."
