Jordanian elections law amended; six parliamentary seats for women
The Jordanian King Abdullah II has ratified an amended law for the elections law of the Jordanian parliament, according to which, six women members will be added to women's share in the parliament which are expected to be elected later this year.

The permanent committee on Egyptian antiquities decided in a recent meeting to organize the opening of the Nefertari tomb, only on special occasions to preserve the engravings against humidity and pollution. Syria's President Bashar al-Assad yesterday evening received a telephone call from the French President Jacques Chirac during which talks dealt with the Iraqi issue and the French- German initiative for peacefull resolution of the Iraqi issue and enhancing the work of the UN inspectors and giving them enough time to complete their mission. It was agreed between the two presidents to continue consultation and coordination between the two sides to this effect. Go
