Morocco's El Aynaoui, Arazi play in Marseille's Tennis Open
Morocco, Sports, 2/11/2003

World's sixth seed, Younes El Aynaoui and Hicham Arazi will participate on Marseille's tennis Open 13, the city's most prestigious tennis event and vie, as of Monday, for the tournament's US$ 500,000 purse.

The front page of a special issue published by Marseille's daily "La Provence," features El Aynaoui as "the indefatigable Moroccan," in reference to his breath-taking quarter final match, in Australian Open, against US Andy Roddick.

The Moroccan front-page privilege is shared with only two other world famed players: "the Swiss reference, Roger Federer" and "Marseille's Idol, Sebastian Grosjean."

"La Provence" introduces El Aynaoui as one of seven favorites to win Marseille major tennis event.

In Australia's open, El Aynaoui rolled out world number one player and local idol, Lleyton Hewitt and produced a one-hundred-forty-two mn memorable show against Roddick, loosing only in the fifth set by 21-19, recalls "La Provence."
