Israel sacks 50 Syrian Golaneese teachers over rejecting Israeli identity
Syria-Israel, Politics, 2/11/2003

The Israeli occupation forces have recently sacked 50 Syrian teachers because of their rejection of the Israeli identity and suspended their wages, besides refusing to compensate them for the long years of teaching -- 20 years for most of them.

The Israeli forces threatened that these measures will target every and each person who rejects the Israeli identity. However, the sacked teachers, in press statements, stressed they will not be subjected to the Israeli pressures and will continue their commitment to their homeland, Syria.

Since two years, Syria has started compensating the people of the occupied Golan, especially teachers through paying their monthly salaries or compensating them.
