Meetings between the Palestinian groups to resume the dialogue
Palestine-Egypt, Politics, 2/8/2003

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas stressed yesterday that several meetings were held between the Palestinian groups in preparation to resume the Palestinian dialogue in Cairo after Eid al-Adha holiday.

The leading figure in Hamas, Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi, said that several bilateral meetings were held in Gaza between Hamas and several Palestinian groups in preparations for the next dialogue meetings in Cairo.

He indicated that a meeting will be held shortly in Gaza between key figures from the Hamas movement and the Palestinian national liberation movement Fatah.

He added that Hamas, like any Palestinian group, will launch the "democratic battle" when the Palestinian sovereign state will be established. He renewed Hamas's commitment to continue the option of resistance until the end of the Israeli occupation.
