Morocco, Cote d'Ivoire study economic cooperation

Means to consolidate economic cooperation between Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire topped talks held in Rabat Tuesday between Moroccan Finance and Privatization Minister, Fathallah Oualaalou, and visiting Ivoirian Economy and Finance Minister, Bohoun Bouabre.
Oulaalou, who lauded cooperation ties binding Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire, voiced Rabat's will to further enhance this cooperation. He also praised the role played by Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire for the defence of African interests particularly with regard to debt alleviation.
The Ivoirian official underlined that cooperation between his country and Morocco is a model for African development. "We are ready to push this cooperation forward," he said.
Bouabre touched on the ongoing conflict in his country and assured that the Moroccan community living in Cote d'Ivoire "lives in security." "The Ivoirian government takes all necessary measures to guarantee the safety and security of Moroccan nationals living in Cote d'Ivoire," he insisted.
