Egypt plans to expand fertilizers production, exports

Egypt plans to expand the production and exports of fertilizers and is considering setting up the first company with the private sector to produce fertilizers at Beni Suef, Upper Egypt, with the use of natural gas.
Egypt at present produces 10.5 million tons of azotic fertilizers annually, of which about 8 million are used locally and the rest is exported. Egypt's Prime Minister said that Egypt could export to south East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
