A joint Gulf- EU meeting on March 3

The foreign ministers of France, Belgium, the Luxembourg and Spain have received messages from the Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani inviting them to attend the 13th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting with the European Union due in Doha on March 3rd.

The Qatari ambassador to France, Muhammad Abdullah al-Rumeihi, handed over these messages to the foreign ministers of the said countries.

The invitations were also extended to the secretary general of the European council, the higher representative of the foreign and security policy in the European Union and the commissioner for trade and external relations at the European commission.

The ambassador of the state of Qatar said that he explained during his meeting with the European officials the importance of the meeting in order to achieve more cooperation and to reactivate dialogue and expand its prospects for the interests of the countries of the two groups.

Worthy mentioning that Qatar presides over the current session of the GCC states.
