King Sihanouk of Cambodia stresses interest for Morocco's development, democracy breakthroughs

King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia stressed the importance his country grants to Morocco's achievements in fields of development and democracy, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

Speaking at a meeting with Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Abdelouahed Radi, who ended on Thursday a three-day visit to Cambodia, said king Sihanouk praised Morocco's stands defending rule of law, and peace.

King Sihanouk said Cambodian officials, who are aware of the issue of Morocco's territorial integrity, is strongly attached to its ancestral and historic relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, a release of the House of Representatives said.

Radi voiced Morocco's will to foster bilateral ties and consultations with Cambodia, at the service of stability, peace and development in the world, lauding the clear position adopted by Cambodia in favor of Morocco's territorial integrity.

During his stay in Cambodia, Radi met prime minister, Samdech Hun Sen, who described the Moroccan speaker's visit as an extremely important step on the path of cooperation. He also lauded Morocco's support to his country's candidacy to become member of the World Trade Organization (WTC).

On Morocco's territorial integrity, the Cambodian PM said his country never recognized the puppet "SADR" and never had any relations with the "Polisario" mercenaries.
