New security measures introduced in Kuwait
Kuwait, Politics, 2/1/2003

The Kuwaiti ministry of the interior has called on Kuwaiti citizens and residents in Kuwait to the need of carrying ID cards or passports as from today ( Saturday). The ministry explained that these new measures aim at preserving security amid current conditions taking place in the region.

A statement issued by the ministry yesterday said that every one who does not have a civilian ID card has to carry a passport that proves he is eligible to be in the country.
