Palestinan shot in the head by the Israeli forces

Two Palestinians were killed yesterday and other 8 were wounded during confrontation with Israeli soldiers in Toulkarem. The Israeli radio quoted an Israeli military source as saying that this operation will continue for several days against civilians in the city.

The Qatar- based al-Jazira TV said yesterday that units of tanks and troops belonging to the Israeli occupation forces launched yesterday at dawn a large scale operation in Hebron to the south of the West Bank.

The TV station said that 20 Israeli tanks and bulldozers were deployed into Hebron, where the Israeli soldiers imposed curfew and isolated the city into separate quarters in a way that even sedan cars can not move inside.

Al-Jazira added that the Israeli soldiers started inspections in Palestinian houses in search of wanted Palestinian activists and carried out storming operations and closure of Palestinian establishments and police centers in the city.

To this effect, the Israeli radio said yesterday that this operation which might last for several days came as a retaliation to several attacks against Israel in Hebron and its surroundings, that resulted in killing 22 Israeli soldiers and settlers in recent months.

The Israeli forces announced it had arrested 19 Palestinians in the West Bank during night time, including four in Hebron area.

Earlier in the day, two Israeli settlers were wounded, one is in a grave condition hit by Palestinian resistance fighters near Ramullah. Israeli sources said that Palestinians opened fire against the car which was carrying the settlers on the road to Ofra settlement, 7 Km to the northern east of Ramullah.

In Gaza, a Palestinian Youth was killed Wednesday evening during an incursion by the Israeli tanks in Jabalia area to the north of Gaza.

Palestinian medical sources said that Nahed Mubarak Abu Dahrouj ( 19 year old) was hit in the head by a bullet and he was killed immediately as a result.

On the other hand, the Israeli side admitted that one of its soldiers was wounded in clashes with armed Palestinians in the surrounding of Rafah settlement when the Israeli soldiers opened fire at children and teenagers gathered in the area.

Al-Quds groups of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility for the attack against Rafah Yam settlement. It said in a statement that the attack resulted in killing two Israeli soldiers.
