Morocco has no private and public mosques

Morocco allots nearly 32 million dirhams, nearly $ 3.2 million dollars , for the rehabilitation of mosques, Moroccan Habous (endowments) and Islamic Affairs Minister, Ahmed Taoufiq, said.
Morocco has nearly 30,000 mosques, 37 percent of which are financially managed by the Habous and Islamic Affairs department, the Minister told the Chamber of Advisors (upper house of parliament).
Taoufiq said his department is pondering a global organization of mosques. He added that all mosques in Morocco are financially and administratively run by the Habous and Islamic Affairs department. "(In Morocco) there are no private and public mosques," he said.
