One American soldier wounded in maneuvers in Kuwait

The American army announced yesterday that a US soldier was wounded yesterday in his stomach during a night exercise with live ammunition on Tuesday in the north of Kuwait.

In a statement, the American army said that the state of the soldier is stable after he had received necessary medical treatment at the hospital where he was admitted by a military helicopter.

The statement did not disclose the identity of the soldier.

The statement indicated that an investigation was opened to find the reasons behind the incident which took place in a complex for training in a populated area.
