Somalia: fighting erupted in Bedawa
Somalia, Politics, 1/30/2003
Two persons were killed and other three wounded in Somalia in a night attack carried out by the militias of col. Shati Jaddoud in Bedawa in Bai district against the house of the deputy chairman of al-Rahnwin tribes resistance branch Muhammad Ibrahim Habisdi which they station in Bai and Bakkoul areas to the southern East of Somalia.
Somali circles said that Jaddoud militias were trying to make use of Habisdi's absence who was in a visit to Makadishu to hold talks with the Somali President Abdul Qasem Salat Hassan on the hope of having control back on Bedawa.
Worthy mentioning that Addis Ababa plays a decisive role in the current conflict in Bedawa despite the fact that it has taken, this time, a neutral position.
