Al-Watan: Al-Quseini: War against Iraq will retard development in Saudi Arabia, neighboring states

Saudi Arabia's minister of planning Khaled al-Quseini expressed his fear that an American war against Iraq will affect the march and objective of the development process in his country and other countries of the region.
In statements issued yesterday by the Saudi daily al-Watan, al- Quseibi stressed that the countries of the region are making all efforts to avoid war, noting that doinf so is in the interests of all states.
The Saudi minister explained that the war against Iraq will leave negative consequences on the developmental efforts in a region where population has increased substantially.
