King of Bahrain meets with Gen. John Abi Zaid

King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, yesterday held talks with the deputy commander general of the American central forces and coordinator of the US war preperations against Iraq. US Gen. John Abi Zaid, currently visiting Bahrain, dealt with cooperation relations between Manama and Washington in various fields.
During the meeting, the king stressed the need of supporting security and stability issues in the region and reviving peace efforts in the Middle East.
