Saudi Arabia, Human Rights Watch discuss judicial system, women rights

In a step which is the first of its kind, Saudi Arabia has opened its doors before Human Rights Watch organization in order to discuss its judicial system and human rights in the Kingdom.
The director of the Middle East and North Africa department in the Organization Hani Majli, who on top of a delegation from the organization, started several days ago a two- week visit to Riyadh said "we will discuss the judicial system, women's rights and the situation of foreign workers in the Kingdom with officials here ( in Riyadh)."
In this framework, Majli and his companions met in Riyadh yesterday with the Saudi minister of the interior, Prince Nayef. He also met last week with the foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal and the minister of justice Prince Abdullah al-Sheikh.
In another direction, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz on Saturday received the commander general of the American central force which covers the Gulf region Gen. Tommy Francs. The Saudi official news agency which quoted the news, did not give details on the talks between the two sides.
Meantime, a Saudi security officials said on Saturday that one Kuwaiti was killed and three Saudi were wounded in a fire fight in a town to the North of Riyadh during a routine security inspection.
