Kuwaiti FM rules out emergency rule in his country
Kuwait, Politics, 1/27/2003
Kuwait's first deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, has ruled out the announcement of emergency rule in his country. He indicated that this matter is connected to external events and the extent of its interrelation to internal events.
In statements issues yesterday by the Kuwaiti dailies, the Kuwaiti foreign minister said that there is no intention to announce emergency rule unless it is necessary. He hoped that things will not reach the extent of having to declare emergency law.
