Moroccan businessmen and Spanish counterparts expressed determination to consolidate and deepen bilateral economic relations, said in Rabat Friday Morocco's industrial association (CGEM) chief, Hassan Chami.
Talking during a meeting with a Spanish business delegation visiting the Kingdom, Chami said this encounter aims to consolidate bilateral cooperation and give a new impetus to bilateral relations that have never been affected by strained political ties.
Noting that corporate realms in both countries kept permanent contact through meetings and mutual consultations, Chami stressed the need to pursue economic cooperation process and head for "integration and joint action."
Spain and Morocco, given their age-old relations and geographic location, are called to fructify exchanges across the board, he added.
Head of the Spanish Business Association, Jose Maria Cuevas praised Moroccan economic operators for "keeping in touch and intensifying bilateral economic cooperation during the hard times that marked both countries relations."
Both parties emphasized the need to upgrade commercial exchanges and probe other realms of cooperation.
The Spanish delegation musters representatives from fisheries, agriculture, industry, energy, telecommunications, banking and health sectors.
