Saudi Arabia-Iraq, Economics, 1/24/2003
The Iraqi minister of housing and construction Maan Abdullah Sarsam said yesterday that his ministry finalized contracts with Saudi companies to build residential complexes in Iraq.
He added that these "contracts fall in the course of the efforts to increase the volume of joint cooperation between the two countries." Sarsam explained that the "ministry sees it appropriate to have the residential complexes of 6- to 10 floors for each and every building," noting that similar contracts estimated at 22 contracts were finalized with Egypt, and Syria to implement similar housing complexes."
The Minister did not explain when these contracts will be executed nor its value or duration.
