Gul meets Arab FMs in Istanbul's ministerial committee

Turkish Prime Minister, Abdullah Gul, received in Istanbul yesterday the foreign ministers participating at the ministerial meeting of Istanbul.

Talks during the meeting, which was attended by Syria's Foreign Minister, Farouk Al-Shara, dealt with agenda of the ministerial meeting, means of averting Iraq and the whole region dangers of war as well as the importance of reaching a peaceful solution to the Iraqi crisis in line with the UN Security Council resolution 1441.

Earlier in the day, Shara met with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Kamal Kharazi for talks on the agenda of the ministerial meeting, the necessity of unifying stances to avert Iraq and the region dangers of war.

Talks also dealt with the importance of reaching a peaceful solution to the Iraqi crisis in line with the UN Security Council resolution 1441.
