Syrian - Turkish higher education relations

The President of Damascus University, Hani Murtada yesterday in Damascus received a Turkish delegation comprising Middle East Research Center (MERC) and Head of History Department at the Turkish Furat University, Mustafa Ozturk and a Member of the Ataturk Center for Culture, History and Languages, Salem Joheshe.
During the meeting, both sides discussed relations between Damascus University and Turkish Universities and ways of boosting them in the scientific, technical and cultural fields.
Discussions also touched upon the possibility of future cooperation, between the MERC of the Turkish Furat University and the Strategic Studies Center of the Syrian Damascus University, which enhances the historical relations between the two neighboring peoples of Syria and Turkey.
