Fischer in an Arab tour to discuss the possibility of avoiding the war

With the approaching date for assuming the presidency of the UN security council by the beginning of February, Germany has been witnessing contradictions between its official stand in rejecting attacking Iraq militarily and the American pressures imposed on it.
The German daily Frankforter said that Germany has responded to the American requests and prepared special teams composed of 7,000 German troops to protect 95 American bases deployed in the German areas against terrorist acts, and that the process of deploying this German contingent around the American bases starts as from today ( Monday.)
Meanwhile, the German foreign minister Yushka Fischer will start after several days a Middle East tour to four Arab states in order to discuss the possibility of avoiding the war against Iraq.
