Jordanian journalists held in custody

The Attorney General of the Jordanian state security court has arrested three journalists from the Jordanian weekly al-Hilal ( the crescent) for investigation and the closure of the paper.

The court's attorney general sent a notification to the weekly's chief editor, his assistant and one reporter in the said paper accusing them of publishing news undermining the dignity of the state, and its reputation as well as publishing groundless rumors and information.
