Sudan vows commitment to continue negotiations with the rebels

The first deputy for the Sudanese president Ali Othman Muhammad Taha has stressed the commitment of his government to continue the march of negotiations with the rebels and to reach humanitarian and food aid to needy people and those who are harmed by the war and to keep the agreement on halting the attacks in the south.
During his meeting with the American envoy for Sudan John Danforth, on Thursday evening in Khartoum, Othman Muhammad Taha expressed his hope that the USA will take positive and neutral measures that are convincing for the public opinion over the efforts it exerts to achieve peace in Sudan.
