Shara phone calls with Saudi, Egyptian, Jordanian, Turkish and Kuwaiti counterparts

A number of phone calls have been made on Thursday between the Syrian Foreign Minister, Farouk Al-Shara and his Arab and regional counterparts.
The phone contacts were made between Shara and Saudi, Egyptian, Jordanian, Kuwaiti and Turkish Foreign Ministers and focused on the Iraqi issue and ways of avoiding a war.
Al-Shara stressed the importance of exerting efforts by the region countries which go along with international efforts particularly those being exerted at the Security Council to distance the ghost of war from Iraq and the region, as well as finding a peaceful solution in accordance with the Security Council's resolution 1441.
Al-Shara, on Thursday, also received a phone call from his Canadian counterpart, William Graham where consultations were made on the Iraqi crisis, the Security Council resolution 1441 and ways of implementing it peacefully. Viewpoints in this regard were identical.
