Ivanov statement on Syrian- Russian relations

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov announced that the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and the Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam yesterday dealt with the bilateral relations, and the situation in the Middle East particularly the Iraqi issue.
Syria is now a nonpermanent member at the UN Security Council, therefore Syria and Russia will continue coordination to find a peaceful solution to the Middle East problems, he added.
