Mubarak: Egyptian, Syrian, Saudi continued coordination for solution to Iraqi issue

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt stressed that there is continued coordination and consultation between Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia with the aim of strengthening Arab efforts to reach a peaceful solution for the Iraqi issue. He warned against the drastic consequences of war against Iraq on all countries of the region and the world.
In statements he made yesterday to chief editors of the Egyptian dailies, Mubarak explained that the Arab and regional moves taking place in the region at the meantime aim at resorting to the diplomatic option opportunities to solve the Iraqi issue, urging Iraq to continue its cooperation with the UN inspection teams to avoid what might justify for launching a war against Iraq.
The Egyptian president said that gathering armies and military forces does not mean that war will take place eventually, noting that there are precise calculations that govern the issues of war and peace, that are not based on issues like the cost of the moves of the armies and the military equipment, noting that the chances of war equals of the chances for a peaceful solution.
President Mubarak indicated that a high ranking Egyptian delegation will visit the US shortly in order to discuss the Iraqi issue and the deteriorated conditions in the occupied territories.
Concerning the deteriorated conditions in the occupied territories, Mubarak stressed the need of implementing international resolutions providing for the Israeli full withdrawal from all occupied Arab lands until June 4, 1967 border lines.
