Al-Ayam: No change in American policy towards Sudan
Sudan-USA, Politics, 1/14/2003

The official spokesman for the US Department Of State, Philip Reeker, stressed that there is no change in the American policy towards the peace process in Sudan.

In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Ayam ( the days ) issued yesterday, Reeker said that peace negotiations between the Sudanese government and the rebels were proposed to be resumed in the mid of this January, and "we still see there an available historical chance to proceed forward in the peace process and for that reason the US peace envoy for peace in Sudan Senator John Danforth headed for the region."
