Djibouti President party wins legislative elections

The "federation for the Presidential Majority" which supports President Ismael Omar Jelle has won the legislative elections which took place in Djibouti on Friday, January 10. It was the first multilateral elections since the independence of the country in 1977.

A source at the ministry of the interior in Djibouti said that it was said in the final results of the elections for the circle of the capital Djibouti that the "federation of presidential majority" received 55,07% of the votes for 44, 93% for the "federation of democracy."

The federation of the Presidential majority in the capital circle received 37 seats and thereby it has won the elections of the national society ( parliament ) which is composed of 65 seats.

Worthy mentioning that these results cover the 142 voting ballots in the city in which 96076 eligible voters cast their votes.
