Al-Seyasah: British forces to arrive in Kuwait next week, minister

Kuwait's minister of defense, Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, said that British forces will arrive in Kuwait next week within the course of preparations to withstand developments in the region.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah issued yesterday, Sheikh al- Sabah said that the number of the American forces in Kuwait does not exceed 20,000 soldiers. He indicated that the Kuwaiti forces have been increased by ten times in training and weapons. He added that large shipments of modern weapons and heavy artillery and their spare parts arrived in Kuwait to strengthen the capabilities of the Kuwaiti army.
