Israeli forces escalate provocation against Lebanon

The al-Sawannah Mountain heights in South Lebanese were yesterday exposed to heavy machine gun fire from the Israeli position in Rewisat al-Alam while unfamiliar Israeli moves were registered in al-Sammaqa, al-Ramtha and Zibdin position in the occupied Shebaa Farms and the Israeli forces ran on foot patrols in the axis of the Red Mountain.

Israeli troops were seen testing the electronic fence in the area between al-Abaseyah and al-Ghajar with the protection of Israeli helicopters over the Shebaa Farms of al-Houla plain- al-Ghajar.

Meantime, the Israeli warplanes continued violations of the Lebanese airspace. In a statement the leadership of the Lebanese army said that two Israeli warplanes violated the airspace of the western and central sectors of south Lebanon and stayed in the Lebanese airspace for 40 minutes.

On the other hand, the Israeli forces have increased provocation against Lebanon at the border area. The Lebanese national agency for media said that the Israeli soldiers were put on Thursday evening and yesterday at dawn at utmost state of alert along the line separating between al-Odesah and Kafer Kalla, until Meis al-Jabal and carried out vast inspections operations. The agency added that the Israelis also used light projectors in their campaign which lasted more than two hours and was escorted by the Indian force working within UNDOF through intensive on foot patrol along the roads adjoining al-Matella, Marghalyout, Miskaf Am and Naharya.
