EU demands Israel to promptly lift embargoing Palestinians from travelling
Israel-European Union, Politics, 1/9/2003

The European Union EU yesterday called on Israel to immediately lift the embargo on the travel Israel imposes on Palestinian officials. The EU said that preventing the Palestinians from attending London's conference will be conducive to more hatred and extremism in the region.

A statement issued by the Greek government, which assumed the current rotating presidency of the European Union said that the Israeli government has to reconsider its decision and to lift the embargo imposed on the movement of the Palestinian officials, because this Israeli decision will not help the international efforts aiming at what the ( EU) called acts of violence ( riots).
