Morocco, Argentine sign two insudstrial accords

Argentine President, Eduardo Duhalde received on Monday Morocco's foreign affairs and cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa, who handed him a message from King Mohammed VI.

The Argentine President expressed his esteem and consideration towards the Moroccan king, and hailed the relations tying the Republic of Argentine to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Benaissa started on Monday a tour in South America that also features Chile, Peru and Colombia.

Benaissa also signed on the same day with Argentine peer a memo of understanding on industrial cooperation and an accord on technical cooperation in energy and mining.

Meantime, the fourth session of Morocco-Argentine joint commission, opened in Buenos Aires on Monday, under the chairmanship of the two countries' foreign affairs ministers, resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on industrial cooperation and an agreement on technical cooperation in energy and mines.

Moroccan and Argentine foreign minister, respectively Mohamed Benaissa and Carlos Ruckauf also exchanged ratification instruments for the implementation of a trade accord signed in October 2000 in Rabat.

Both delegations agreed to probe new possibilities and create favorable conditions to diversify commercial exchange and balance it in a manner beneficial to both parties. Economic operators were called to cash in on various opportunities offered by the two countries' economies, in a spirit of a mutually beneficial partnership.
