Deposits up to LE. 350 billion, loans LE 268

A recent report by the Central Bank of Egypt CBE said economic and monetary indicators reflected further improvement in 2002. Deposits at the banks went up to LE. 350 billion by the end of last August.
Bank credits also secured a marginal increase from LE. 266 billion to 268 billion in August 2002.
