Unofficial dialogue between Syrian, American activists
Syria-USA, Politics, 1/6/2003
Sessions of unofficial dialogue between various cultural, economic, political, academic and intellectual activists will be held in Damascus as from today January 6 through 8, from the Syrian and American sides.
The session, however, is an unofficial dialogue despite the fact that the Syrian and American governments support and encourage it. This dialogue falls in the course of "the principled policy President Bashar al-Assad has embarked on in supporting various dialogues with countries wishing to have a dialogue and this stems from his belief that dialogue is the best means to deal with all issued, being easy or difficult."
