Plans to increase agriculture exports to five billion in 2003

Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wall said the plan for the year 2003 targets upping agricultural exports to L.E. five billion compared to the current L.E. two billion.
The Ministry will try to benefit from international trade agreements, like GATT and Egypt-European partnership, to increase exports to foreign markets.
A working plan was set for the Organic-Agriculture Center affiliated to the Ministry to expand the area of land where organic agriculture methods are applied.
Around 400 farms on an area of 30,000 feddans are planted according to scientific plans laid down by experts of Ministry of Health, Agriculture Research Centre, and Scientific Research
