Cairo, Khartoum agree to revive integration projects
Egypt-Sudan, Politics, 1/4/2003

The Egyptian minister of information Safwat al-Sharif who is also the secretary general of the Democratic National Party stressed that he had agreed during his talks with his Sudanese counterpart to revive integration projects between the two states especially in the economic field and revitalizing the agreements of the joint higher committee and reactivating the Egyptian- Sudanese businessmen council.

Before leaving Khartoum, Sharif expressed his happiness to sign the final statement about which he said "It comes to revive the joint political work between the two states, for the prosperity of the two people of the Nile valley and to stand one line against conspiracies." Al-Sharif commended the efforts made by the Sudanese government to achieve peace and build the south.
