UAE aids for Niger
United Arab Emirates-Niger, Local, 1/4/2003
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) yesterday sent a humanitarian aid and relief plane to people affected by the wave of drought in Niger offered by the UAE Red Crescent. The plane was loaded with foodstuffs including wheat, rice, milk and palms.
This aid comes in the framework of the UAE Crescent humanitarian program to help African countries which suffer catastrophic conditions because of drought. The UAE had earlier offered similar aids to Niger at a cost of one million UAE Dirham.
