Morocco-Spain, Politics, 1/3/2003

Spanish authorities have turned back some 900,000 Moroccans at Melilia checkpoint (Moroccan Northern city still under Spanish rule), during 2002, "for lack of regular documents," Melilia authorities said.

The same source said that 12 million people transited during the same period by four checkpoints.
